10% of the proceeds from William’s print sales are donated to his partnered conservation charity, David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation. An organisation focussed on the conservation of wildlife in Africa and Asia through an unyielding, holistic approach.

With William’s style deeply focussed on wildlife in its environment, working with organisations of this calibre and determination is a natural fit and prints are proudly embossed with the foundations logo next to William’s signature.

To date William’s work has been used to raise over £80,000 for a variety of charitable organisations.

This is a rare image for me as for once it shows nothing other than the subject. Usually I endeavour to include as much of the animals environment as I can, but for The Fine Print I wanted the viewers entire attention to be on the details in the elephants skin, eye lashes and tusks.

This was taken moments after my best selling image, Rumble in the Jungle, and the mud across the tusks and trunk came from fighting with another male in a marsh.

Despite its simplicity, there is so much about this that holds my attention for as long as any of my more seemingly complex images. Every time I look I pick out another little detail I had never noticed before and hope to do so for a long while to come.
