Life in Camp
Perched in the secluded Lamai Wedge of the northern Serengeti, Serian’s Serengeti Lamai is a mobile camp that places guests in the heart of prime wildlife territory. Situated opposite Crossing Point 4 along the Mara River, the camp offers front-row seats to the dramatic wildebeest river crossings during the migration season. The surrounding landscape, reminiscent of scenes from “Out of Africa,” features rolling savannahs, boulder-strewn hillsides, and fig-tree groves teeming with wildlife. The camp comprises eight spacious tents and two suites, each with en-suite bathrooms, wrought-iron beds, and Moroccan rugs, blending simplicity with elegance. With exclusive use of 4WD safari vehicles and dedicated guides and spotters, guests enjoy personalized and flexible game drives, walking safaris, and photographic opportunities in this wildlife-rich region.

Timing Your Trip
The prime time to visit Serian’s Serengeti Lamai is from July to October, aligning with the Great Migration’s river crossings in the northern Serengeti. The earlier in that window you can visit the better as the migration typically makes its way in to Kenya around July/ August.

Will's Ideal Pairing
"Given the time of year you need to be in Tanzania to see the crossings you may want to consider a trip to Rwanda as well for gorilla trekking. Combining one of nature's most chaotic safari experiences (river crossings) with one of its calmest (gorilla trekking) is a fantastic combination of exerences."
