Its unique design harmonizes with the surrounding landscape, offering guests panoramic views of the Aba Huab Valley and close proximity to the region’s renowned desert-adapted wildlife and ancient rock engravings.

Life in Camp

Situated within the Twyfelfontein Conservancy, Camp Kipwe seamlessly integrates into the dramatic Damaraland terrain. The camp features nine thatched bungalows and one suite, each thoughtfully positioned among the boulders to ensure privacy and immersion in nature. These accommodations boast en-suite open-air bathrooms and private verandas that provide sweeping views of the surrounding valley. The central areas of the camp include an open-plan dining room, lounge, and bar, all designed to maximize the stunning vistas. A refreshing plunge pool, nestled among the rocks, offers a serene spot to relax during the heat of the day. Guests at Camp Kipwe can embark on guided nature drives in search of the elusive desert-adapted elephants, explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Twyfelfontein to view ancient rock engravings, or enjoy self-guided walks to appreciate the area’s unique flora and fauna. The camp’s strategic location and expert guides provide an authentic and enriching safari experience in one of Namibia’s most captivating regions.

Timing Your Trip

Camp Kipwe is at its best during Namibia’s dry season, from May to October. During these months, wildlife congregates around water sources, making sightings more frequent and predictable. The cooler temperatures also enhance the comfort and enjoyment of your safaris.
