Naboisho Camp

Perfectly placed in one of Kenya’s most rewarding conservancies, Naboisho Camp offers front row wildlife and flawless hosting. Warm, stylish and packed with purpose, it is a standout in the Mara ecosystem.

Life in Camp

Hidden in the heart of the Mara Naboisho Conservancy, this camp delivers everything a great safari should. Big skies, serious wildlife and an atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at ease. With just nine tents, Naboisho Camp keeps things personal, with thoughtful service and one of the best guiding teams in Kenya. Naboisho is known for its high density of lions, big elephant herds and open plains that stretch in every direction. Will regularly spots cheetah and hyena within minutes of leaving camp. Walking safaris and night drives are a highlight here, offering new ways to explore this vibrant conservancy. The camp balances comfort and authenticity beautifully, with excellent food, genuine hospitality and a front row seat to some of Kenya’s most exciting wildlife. It is one of Will’s top picks for travellers who want to feel fully immersed in the wild without compromising on comfort.

Timing Your Trip

For dramatic skies and a touch of green, aim for March, April or November. These months offer beautiful storm light, quieter conservancy roads and excellent predator sightings. For those after warm days and crisp evenings, January, February and October are ideal—great for walking safaris and long game drives. Will avoids the busier mid-year migration window and prefers these shoulder months, when the wildlife is still spectacular but the pace is slower and the experience feels more personal. Those hoping to see the migration should visit in August but be aware that tourist numbers are significant and this will affect both costs and your safari experience.

Famous For

Lions, lots of them. Naboisho has one of the highest concentrations in East Africa. But it’s the access that really sets this camp apart. With walking safaris, night drives and very few other vehicles, Naboisho offers some of the most flexible and exciting wildlife experiences in the region. The camp itself is low-key luxury done right, with spacious canvas suites, outdoor showers and views that stretch into forever. Asilia’s commitment to sustainability and local community partnerships is strong here too, making it as meaningful as it is memorable.
