For three days the group will take part in chimpanzee habituation, trek across Africa's tallest canopy walkway and zip line through the Nyungwe Forest. For those that think photography trips needed a little adrenaline rush, this is for you!

Overview

This is all about the experience. We will be staying at Munazi Lodge, in its laid back A frame cottages. We will have two days of chimpanzee trekking and enough time between to really enjoy all the experiences Nyungwe Forest has on offer.

4th October

All guests need to arrive in Kigali (Rwanda's capital) by October 4th where you'll stay at The Retreat by Hemingways and meet the rest of the group over a relaxed dinner in the hotel.

5th October

From Kigali we will drive to Nyungwe Forest and our accommodation, Munazi Lodge. We will arrive in time to explore the forest and prepare for our first day of gorilla trekking the following morning.

6th October & 7th October

We'll begin the day early and head out to trek with one of the three semi-habituated chimpanzee families. Unlike trekking options in Uganda only eight people will be visiting the chimpanzees and we can ensure a really exciting, intimate experience.

As we are a part of the habituation process we will experience first hand what it takes to get the animals accustomed to human presence, a humbling experience.
